"My wife and I found a camera (Mississippi) in the middle of the road, and we’d like to see if we can locate the owner. I’m enclosing a couple photos that I believe is the “family”. We’ve already looked locally for the owner, but no success. We also have an airline boarding pass, that was inside the bag, with a name on it!---still haven't found anyone!

Have you tried contacting the airline for the boarding pass you found? They will not give YOU the owner's info, but they have the ability to contact them on your behalf. Call the airlines customer service number and have the ticket (with ticket number) in hand.
If the last name is uncommon, you could also search the person's name in the areas surrounding the destination airport and see what comes up :o)

These pictures look very much like an imitation of a local photographer whose work could have been seen in one of the malls on the Mississippi coast. They are clearly not done by that pro, though.

The spot the pic was taken looks like a spot in Biloxi, MS. Maybe you could try searching the peoples last name on myspace or something and maybe if someone with the last name comes up in the biloxi area or email them you could check out their pics and see if some of the same people are in them...just a thought. I live not far from there and am pretty positive that is where the pic is done since it is a pretty popular spot for taking family type photos...good luck.
