The rental car company should have an idea of the previous renters of the car. Maybe you should let them know???

The inscription behind is the Magnificat "My soul magnifies the Lord" often connected to St Mary's...this is probably a Catholic College, maybe a St. Mary's?

The policy of the rental car company is to auctioned the camera if it is not claimed by the owner in three weeks.

But they were never even given the opportunity to contact the owners of the camera! The person that found the camera should have checked right away instead of just taking it with them. I bet the owners have already checked with the rental car company and found out someone STOLE it!

I'd rather have a random stranger striving to return my lost property to me than have a random rental car rep that doesn't care about my property enough to hang on to it for me for longer than 3 weeks...

Kudos to you for trying to return the camera to these people. I know they will appreciate it when they get it back!

If they ever do, considering there probably is only the slightest chance they are checking this website. How many millions of people do you think DON'T check this website. The rental car company at least knew who had the car and had contact information for the person.

There is a way better chance that the rental company could find the people than the people could find this website, but hey you keep right on thinking that everyone in the world checks this website. Ignorance is bliss:)

The camera was returned to my manager, but I kept copies of the pictures in case the owner comes forward in this site. Hope is the last thing left in the Pandora's box without it life would be unbearable. The easiest thing to do is to become a cynic and doubt that anybody could have good intentions towards others. I know managers that have collections of cameras left in cars. I am certainly not one of them.

I know that girl in the lower picture! I just e-mailed her the link. Hopefully, we've found another match!
