That looks like Chimney Rock near Asheville, North Carolina.
that looks a lot like the scenic overlook at the new river gorge in WV facing away from the bridge
I have a photo of myself at Inspiration Point, which is why I recognise the location. There is an overhang that you can sit under and take in the scenery nearby.
The sign in the top picture says "Inspiration Point" on it.
