"I bought a new Nikon D40 (at Circuit City in Wayne, NJ) and found an SD card already inside it. There were several hundred photographs on the card. I would love to give them to their owner. Thank you!"

I'm guessing it wasn't a "new" camera after all.

Oh my gosh! I almost had a heart attack when I saw the first picture! That girl actually looks almost exactly like me! It was so weird. Of course, it isn't me because I have not idea who that guy is and, in the second picture she looks much less like me.

Still...that was weird.

It seems like this one would best be investigated by the Circuit City you got it from. Too bad it's closing now. Typical of CC to sell returned merch. as new. I've got no sympathy at all, just the sinking feeling that Best Buy is now the only game in town for big box electronics.

How does one look at the "next" picture? I don't see a way to do it.

I have asked the same thing before...Can anyone explain to those of us who are next-picture-impaired?

What do you mean, "next picture"?
I see two pictures as examples for each camera found.

That's all I've ever seen and there are only a few cameras/cards listed for each week. I use a Mac computer.

Do you think their should be more or do you only see one picture?

I do know they have not updated the pictures for a couple of weeks, but I just thought they might be busy and out of town because of the new year, etc.

N. - If you're viewing the site in internet explorer you only see one pic for each camera. In Fire Fox, Safari, etc you see multiple pics for each lost camera.

you can also use firefox on a mac

I guess this site isn't going to update anymore? It's been three weeks since the last update. Just curious :-( I really enjoyed this site.

I can't use Firefox because it causes endless problems at work, and that's where I always view this site. I wish it would be fixed to work with IE too!

Please update again soon

I hope this site continues to update. I think it is a great resource. I am linking it to my blog! http://michelle-garthe.com/blog

They probably only update when someone sends in new lost camera pictures. so this means the updates won't be regular. Here's hoping they keep it up!
