"Some dude came up to my dad and asked him if he wanted a camera for $30, so my dad said sure. The guy showed my dad that the camera works, and since my dad has absolutely no idea how these thingamajigs work, he asked me to take a look at it. I looked at the camera and found these pictures inside, and told my dad it is most probably stolen, because the guy he bought is from was not these people.

So my father has asked me to put these pictures online in hopes to find the people this camera belongs to. I know they have a lot of pictures in there, I would like to get it back to them.

PLEASE PLEASE! If you know these people, get them in touch with us."

if you do find these people you better give the camera back too. Buying stolen goods is just as illegal as stealing it, and you just confessed what your dad did to the whole world

Um... That's what they are trying to do. Confessing assumes that clueless Dad knew what was happening, way to jump to negative conclusions anon.

Its people like your father that keep the black market open and why people get there things stolen. It doesn't matter if he says he didn't know it was stolen (why else would a stranger sell a camera for $30??) it was still stolen.
AND It doesn't make is less illegal now that your trying to find the owner. Watch what you say online, you never know whose reading it.

Anon @ 2:21pm -

Craigslist, e-bay, garage sales, swap meets... Those are all examples of strangers legally selling things for cheap.

And keep in mind we don't know for a fact that the camera was actually stolen. It could've been lost/misplaced like all the other cameras featured on this site, and found by someone who wanted to make a buck. Stop assuming the worst in people.

it's better that they bought the camera and are trying to return it... maybe if they didn't buy it, the person who did end up buying it wouldn't want to return it to the rightful owner...weirdoooooooooooooo. i hope someone returns my camera :(

Thank you, Original Poster, for your honesty. I hope you can get in touch with the people in the pictures.

Please ignore the unkind remarks. Not many people take the time you did to try to reach the people in the pics. I wish there were more honest people like you.

Good luck, and thanks, again!

Anonymous person: just so you know, if the person did not know it was stolen, his actions were not illegal. It sounds as if he was a bona fide purchaser and is not trying to do the right thing. We can all learn something from him!
