A few years back, I left a couple of packets of pictures either in a hotel room at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, or at a hotel room in The Excalibur in Las Vegas. They were in "Costco 1 Hour Photo" packets. They were pictures of my friends and I -- we all looked between 12-15 at the time. If anyone has them, please, let me know!

This is a great 'lost and found' site.

This one is just random things written on walls around the world...

All of these sights give us a glimpse of other humans in this world... people like us just trying to live.

Hey, I live in Sacramento and I know the neighborhood shown in the bottom picture. I remember seeing that house all decorated with the fake street sign around Christmas time. Sadly, I don't know the family pictured, but I'll definitely check out the area to see if I can find anything that would help :)

From the hat and shirt the guy has on, it looks as if he is in racing, possibly drag racing.

You really need to blur the faces of children. Nursery schools all over the country (including the one i work in) have all sorts of strict rules about this, and many MANY parents refuse to give permission for their child's image to be used. It isn't just paranoia, terrible things happen, and you can't possibly know the situation in these people's lives. For instance, there are children in my school who come back to school after the summer with new names and addresses because they are hiding from an abusive parent.

To begin with, no matter what your intentions are and no matter what good you are doing and no matter how legal it may be, this IS without a doubt an invasion of privacy and a risk, you are making a huge assumption that these people are fine with having their photos (whose rights they OWN) and their identities (which are very personal) put on public display. I know you won't remove the site, but the least you need to do is conceal the identity of small children, or post other pictures on the cards without children on them, God forbid something should happen you don't want that on your head.

There are quite a few pictures of kids on this website - you dork!

uhh yeah thats the point...there are multiple pictures of children, which is why it needed to be said. the site is a great idea, it just needs to be done safely, or did your attention span run out before you could read more than a soundbite's worth of words?

and who uses the term dork? what are you, 12?

The person that posted the long comment about children's faces needing to be blurred has left similar posts on other photos. I am not 12, actually read the whole post word for word and I still agree with the dork comment, though my response to "anonymous" (aka stef on another post) would a few more choice words than dork.

There are no pictures showing with this post? I lost my camera in Old Town/capital area of Sacramento in mid June 2008. It was a newer Canon, about palm sized. It was in a worn black leather case with no strap on it, but there was a hole in the top of the case for the camera's strap to go through. Please contact me. caroleires at yahoo dot com.
