"My daughter found a Kodak camera on a tour bus in New York City while on a tour with her school. The bus company says it is "not responsible for lost or stolen items" and won't contact the school the other tour kids were from. Her teacher tried to contact the other school and had no luck. The camera's serial number was not registered at Kodak. This is our last hope to find its owner. If this is your camera, I will send it back to you!"

I'm going to venture a guess and say the group was from Nebraska...there's a start.
Are there any school names on shirts? Do you know where the field trip was? (You said you found it in NY, but I have no idea where that Nebraska sign is. Seems more like a DC kind of thing.)
I am from NE and know quite a few people in the school system. Post it here and I'll check back.
That photo was taken in Washington D.C. at the WWII memorial.
Those photos were probably taken in march before the leaves were out but after the fountains were turned on. I would hazard a guess that it was during cherry blossom week or right around then.
It would have been taken probably mid March, it's at the WWII Memorial in DC. The kids are wearing lanyards.. can anyone pick up what any of them say?
nice to hear that there are no kind hearts working for the bus company. :P
hope the camera finds its way back home, in any case.
Is there a larger version of the group shot? It would make it easier to read the name tags on a few of them. I can't get anything off of what we're looking at now. Eric C., Washington, D.C.
i know several of the kids personally.
Someone sent me this website. I may be able to ask some of them to see if they lost a camera.Maybe we can track it down for you. Thanks
